From 03.04.2022 only corona basic protection measures in Bavaria

From 3 April, a new 16th Bavarian Infection Protection Measures Ordinance will come into force, which will exhaust the framework of the basic protection measures still granted by the federal government:

- In institutions that look after vulnerable groups of people, ffP2 masks are still mandatory and visitors and employees need a daily rapid test for access.
- FFP2 mask requirements also continue to apply to local public transport.
- In schools and kindergartens, tests continue to be carried out regularly and to the extent to date. For the period after the Easter holidays, the Council of Ministers will decide in good time. In cases of infection in a class or group, there is still a strengthened testing regime.
- Otherwise, general protection and hygiene measures on a voluntary basis remain recommended, in particular the observance of the minimum distance, the wearing of medical face masks indoors and voluntary hygiene concepts (especially visitor guidance, disinfection).

The Council of Ministers has also approved the extension of the application deadline for the call-off of subsidies for mobile air purification units and decentralised ventilation systems as part of the new edition in 2021 until 31 December 2022. The deadline for the procurement of equipment requested in the period from 1 January to 31 December 2022 is extended to 31 March 2023 inclusive.
