Advent time – Christmas market time!
Brightly lit pedestrian zones, Christmas flair and beautifully decorated stalls, this image characterises the market squares in many cities and municipalities in the run-up to Christmas.

In Bad Kissingen, the “Bad Kissinger Lichterglanz” begins with a warm-up on Tuesday, November 25. The stalls will remain open beyond the holidays until Saturday, December 27 and invite young and old to meet together. The smell of mulled wine, bratwurst and many other pre-Christmas delicacies is available from Sunday to Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and from Thursday to Saturday the stall windows even stay open until 9 p.m. The “Lichterglanz” will be officially opened on Friday, November 28 at 5:30 p.m. on the market square. The organizer Stadtmarketing PRO Bad Kissingen invites all young and old visitors to this event.

At the opening, Lord Mayor Dr. Dirk Vogel, the Rose Queen with her angels and Santa Claus with a sack full of gifts for the children can be found. Musically, the event will be accompanied by a small delegation of the Bad Kissingen Youth Music Corps under the direction of Mr. Matthias Züll.

All the gastronomic stalls on the market square have once again come up with some specialties for the guests. At the Old Town Hall area, wood-fired bread, tarte flambée, crepes and a children’s carousel await visitors. And the market stalls in Obere Marktstraße also offer a wide range of warm headgear, cuddly socks, Christmas accessories and much more.

Of course, visitors to the city will not only find a wide range of Christmas offers on the “Lichterglanz”, but the shops and restaurants offer a variety of gift ideas and delicious Christmas specialties, so that a visit to the city center is worthwhile in any case.
