Church of the Redeemer Bad Kissingen

Already in 1845/1846, King Ludwig I. had a small Protestant prayer house built on his own resources by his court councillor Friedrich von Gärtner at the present location. Due to the increasing number of spa guests, the extension of the building was started in 1890, which was completed in 1891. In 1894, Prince Regent Luitpold of Bavaria visited the new church building during his stay in the spa town. In 1952, the church was renovated for the first time and painted uniformly bright. Only after the second renovation in 1980 did the church receive its official name "Saviour Church". In the course of this renovation, a new organ was also installed. In the Church of the Redeemer there are regular services of god, concerts and other events.
