Ludwigstower
The Ludwigstower is located on the Staffelsberg. It was named after King Ludwig I in memory of the Wittelsbachs. Opened in 1883, after two years of construction, it was popular as an observation tower at the time. The view is now only possible to a limited extent due to the high trees in the immediate vicinity of the tower. Since the tower, which is also protected as a monument, also needs a refurbishment, access has not been possible since 2008.
In the immediate vicinity there is a youth tent site of the German Scouts, who appreciate the wonderful location for many adventures. The tower is also a destination for walks and hikes due to its striking location.
