Spa garden with arcade construction
The spa garden was the traditional centre of social spa life. Surrounded by the ensemble of regent building, arcade building and convertible hall, this complex is now popular with residents and guests alike. In earlier times, access to the spa garden and spa facilities was reserved exclusively for guests. Residents of Bad Kissingen were not allowed to enter this part. For the locals, therefore, the rose garden was built in later times as a replacement. The spa garden was commissioned by King Ludwig I with the arcade construction in 1834. The arcade building in yellow sandstone was the first representative spa building in Bad Kissingen. It was built from 1834 to 1838 on the west side of the spa garden. Today, the building is protected as a monument and is used for events and concerts of all kinds, meetings and exhibitions. Inside the building is the Tourist Information, which provides information and information about Bad Kissingen. The prestigious Kurgarten Cafe is also located in this building. Further information about the Kurgarten-Café can be found in this city portal "Experience Bad Kissingen" under Food & Drink.
