In 1904, the Kurtheater was built by the Bavarian architect Max Littmann on behalf of the Bavarian government in baroque style.
A special feature is the congestion in the longitudinal axis as well as the widening of the auditorium, which was carried out for space reasons. The foyer, stairways and cloakrooms were laid out around it. The building is still owned by the State of Bavaria (as the legal successor of the Kingdom of Bavaria)
