Wandelhalle

The Wandelhalle in the spa garden of Bad Kissingen was built between 1910 and 1911 according to plans of the Munich architect Max Littmann. It belongs to the spa ensemble with regent building and arcade construction and is structurally connected to it. The hall is 90 meters long and covers a total area of more than 2,600 square meters. This makes it the largest hall for change in Europe. The construction in the form of a basilica was considered innovative at the time of construction due to the continuous construction. The rotating concert shell, which can be rotated inwards or outwards depending on the weather, certainly contributed to this. Today, the Staatsbad Philharmonie Kissingen plays here - sometimes even several times - every day with a very varied program. Due to the numerous performances, the Staatsbad Philharmonie Bad Kissingen achieved an entry in the "Guiness Book of World Records" a few years ago. Here you will find the current dates: Calendar of the Staatsbad Philharmonie .
